Federica Malpeso
Early Childhood General and Special Educator

Federica Malpeso has been teaching and working with children for over 10 years. She is a reading specialist and an expert in supporting students with Dyslexia and/or other (un)diagnosed learning needs and helping students successfully overcome their limitations. With extensive experience in teaching, Federica has worked with wonderfully diverse students as young as 3 years old who think and learn differently and who demonstrate varying abilities and learning styles.

Through her unique teaching style and philosophy, she is committed to creating a safe space for children to voice their beliefs and be heard, and in educating students, in age-appropriate ways, on the important social justice issues of our time including diversity awareness, food (in)security, the environment, education equality and racism.

As part of the Teach For Italy team, she advises on inclusion for annual summer teacher-training programs with a focus on increasing awareness of learner diversity and helping others deliver inclusive teaching and learning pedagogical practices to ultimately support young learners all over the world.

Federica holds a Dual Masters in General Education and Literacy from the Bank Street Graduate School of Education. She also completed a one-year Master program in Human Development and Food Security, at Roma Tre Universita Degli Studi during her time living and studying abroad in Rome, Italy, from 2005-2016.
